The Little Cornish B&B
A Quaint & Quirky Bed And Breakfast Moments From All Mevagissey Has To Offer With Free Offsite Parking
Welcome to the Little Cornish B&B your hosts will be me (Howie) Andy and Tinks our resident puss-cat ... Also known as The Lads and Tinks.
Andy is Cornish born and bred and we have been in Cornwall together for the last 22 years and have been in Mevagissey running the Little Cornish B&B over the last 12 years.
We love our life here by the sea fully immersing ourselves into the local way of life ... We are passionate about staying Cornish and support our local shops here in the village and producers in Cornwall helping to preserve local communities like ours here in Mevagissey.
We work together as a happy little well oiled engine here at the b&b with Andy having the ideas, me fetching it and Tinks keeps out off our way while we do it.
No seriously Andy has the best eye for creativity and ideas so has the most influence in our style and taste however I do get my way sometimes and between us have created an eclectic mix with Art Deco in mind.
We are in an enviable position of being only 9 miles from the Eden Project and on the doorstep of the Lost Gardens Of Heligan...Plus on the South West Coast Path for walkers...And we are close to Lanhydrock House and Caerhays Castle
And if this wasn't enough also nestled in the heart of the old original part of Mevagissey moments from the beautiful fishing harbour, cafes, bars and restaurants.
We offer our guests cosy little eclectic rooms with pocket-size ensuite shower rooms.
A unique cooked candlelit breakfast from our a la carte menu is served each morning from fresh & local produce.
Please note that we are very happy to cater for all dietary needs however nut allergy we can't...sorry! ... (too scary)
Parking is free however not on site ( goes with the territory in the hub of a Cornish village ) but CCTV protected and only 200mtrs away just up the road from the B&B.
Also we offer discounts on tickets to the Lost Gardens Of Heligan and Eden Project to all our guests.
So by now you have an idea of your three hosts...( Antihistamine's at the ready if you forget Tinks )
What You Get At Our Humble Little Empire
Well Here Go's ... guests enter this unique world of ours and tell us they take home a memory of an experience not just a stay (I'm filling up now )
Our promise of cleanliness and service is given to all our guests especially with covid 19 at the forefront of all our minds and are following all procedures and government advice and guidelines.
A relaxed check in time is part of our exemplary service ( here i go again ) to help you make the most of your arrival day...However please note this is not a standard service and is an added bonus to your stay as our gift to you!
Your A'la carte candlelit breakfast is in the style of the 1920's/30's...How fabulous and quirky is that !
Parking is very close by...however please be aware that you will have to walk a short distance to and from your car...this is very normal when staying in the heart of a Cornish village where offsite parking is a normal way of life even for us locals.

What A Stupendulous Position
Only a quick stroll on foot to the harbour

Don't Forget Your Brekie
Arguably the highlight of our guests stay is our unique A' la Carte candlelit breakfast cooked to order and served from only the most scrumilicious fresh produce.
Coeliac, vegan, vegetarian & lactose free brekies are very happily catered for on request before arrival.
Served in a most ambient setting in the low beamed ceiling breakfast room.
Some guests say they were worried about the shared table of themselves and two other guests however found it the highlight of their stay with happy conversation and tips to share even friendships have been made.
A hoary oak table and timeless chairs are a fitting host for the 1920/30's breakfast setting of original china, champagne glassware, silverware and proper job napkins.
A really unique and stylish start to your day
Things To Know About Our 1700's Cottage
Dating back to 1752 gives our fabulous (you can tell i love it ) traditional Cornish cottage some nice features but with this comes some points that need mentioning even though they are not life threatening or even life changing.
You can't park at the cottage and will have to park initially opposite the b&b and pay 50p (full instructions and directions will be sent to you by us)
There is a slope to get the property and has been surprisingly likened to Mount Kilimanjaro by someone , however to put this into perspective Andy walked up it 7 days after having a double hip replacement (it's a slope)
"6ft.1" is as tall as you can be without bending on entry to the b&b and also in the "Little Spriggans Hideout" shower (there's a beam) but the "Pisky's Nooks won't be a problem there is also no height restriction in the "Garden Room"
You do not get breakfast in the " Garden Room " and is not a additional add on.
The yacht style staircase is blooming quirky steep and narrow on you way to the bedrooms in the cottage...You will have to bend and mind your head while taking your luggage up which feels a bit like the crypton factor (if you remember?) and is a challenge on your first few go's... but not life changing...We do this on a daily basis and are still here as living proof and are on hand to help with you luggage.
Remember your rooms are small...There is limited but adequate hanging space, shelf and draw space also space under your bed for cases when opened (how kind are we) ...Separate storage of your cases can be very happily arranged.
As a guest here you get everything you would expect from a b&b plus something a little different, leaving you feeling that you have not just had a stay but an experience...However with this in mind leave you expectations at home... just enjoy the ride...Thank you!
